my weekend – day trip!

This past Sunday I made a day trip to Buffalo, NY to check out Wish You Were Here: The Buffalo Avant-garde in the 1970s at Albright-Knox Art Gallery. While I was out there I also visited the echo Art Fair, Burchfield Penney Art Center, and had lunch with fellow VSWer Laura Minor down by the waterfront.

It was a quick trip, but totally worth it! I’m currently editing photos from the day – look for a post on echo Art Fair tomorrow. I was really impressed with some of the installation work.

Exploring the Archive

Tomorrow I will be presenting on the panel Exploring the Archive at the 2012 Master’s Level Graduate Research Conference at The College at Brockport.

My co-presenters are Laura Minor, Megan Sullivan, Alicia Taylor and Dan Varenka.
